The $2 million club was a lonely place, with just Hamilton, at the Nederlanders’ Richard Rodgers banking $2.1 million and the Street high average of $194.55 per ticket. Andrew Lloyd Webber had a fine week overall as School of Rock, at the Shuberts’ Winter Garden, bounced $116K back into the million-dollar club even The Phantom of The Opera was up a bit as well, to $823K at the Shuberts’ Majestic.Ĭirque Du Soleil’s Paramour returned to a regular performance schedule after a brief break to put in changes it took in $891K for seven performances at the Ambassador Theatre Group’s Lyric, Broadway’s biggest house, with an average ticket price of $87.18. Cats redux, at the Nederlander Organization’s Neil Simon, added$96.7K to the till, coming in just shy of $1 million. The Labor Day week provided a boon to several shows: Beautiful, The Carole King Musical, at the Roundabout’s Stephen Sondheim, was up $127K to $876.5K, 87 percent of potential. Holiday Inn (or Holiday Inn, The New Irving Berlin Musical, as it’s dubbed) began previews at the Roundabout Theatre Company’s Studio 54 with four performance the Goodspeed Opera House import from the Northern climes (well, Connecticut) opens October 6.
